Another small issue was they requested documents multiple times when I had already sent them. But overall I was very pleased. They processed the claim quickly.

Great insurance for my French bulldog.
I needed to file a claim for my French Bulldog Gracie. I had read the reviews and feel that they were dismal. I turned in Gracie's history and the current surgery she needed which was tumor removal in her gums and a few other "frenchie" items. I was reimbursed approximately 66% of the vet bill. I signed her up for emergency and accident insurance only. I felt that the reimbursement was completely fair. I had no problems with reimbursement and just received my check today - thus the review. I would rate Spot pet insurance a 5/5. I felt that they were fair and I received the judgement and payment relatively quickly. I have no complaints! Thank you for your help and assitance.

Spot insurance quickly processed my claim and also closed my account earlier and prorated the last month bill. I've had Spot for less than a year and already had to submit 2 claims. I've had a great experience with Spot. The agent who signed me up was very nice and knowledgeable, and the customer service representatives I've spoken to have also been incredibly helpful. The process is fast and easy. I was worried that I would face issues (like all interactions with health insurance) but I was wrong! Spot even covered more than I thought they would. My only recommendation is to make sure you read AND UNDERSTAND your policy. Know what is covered, what is not covered, and when you will get reimbursed.

I wouldn't say I had a great experience but a bit disappointed one ,due to the fact that I put in a claim Spot would say they didn't receive the receipt they needed even though I sent them multiple times . Finally a family member helped me by calling them and strongly ask why they wouldn't reimburse me for my claim . Then I was sent reimbursement. I don't like to raise my voice at anyone, but I guess that's how the world workes now.

Spot Pet Insurance is the Best!!! Preventative care being offered, easy process to submit claims, incredible customer service and insurance agents are always super friendly, compassionate, and nice. They actually care about my sweet girl. Everytime I’ve called for questions or help they always ask how she’s doing. We just had to get a huge surgery done for our girl and I called ahead of time to send them the estimate. They processed it in my account so when I submitted the final bill for the surgery it was a super smooth process. Turnaround time for reimbursement is super fast and efficient. I’ve always received reimbursement and completed claims within less than 2 weeks. Typically we see claims completed and reimbursement around 1 week from the claim date. Very fast, very reliable, no hassle, and always friendly. I recommend Spot to my friends and family and will continue to use them for my girl Riot and any future animals I decide to get! Best decision I ever made was going through this company for Pet Insurance!

The customer service has been great, but the 3 stars are for the errors that have happened twice in one month and I don’t know if people are just logging things wrong, but one of my claims was entered for last year and then another claim was not reimbursed via direct deposit -which is what I selected/have already received reimbursement this way- it was sent via check. Little things like that are inconvenient

Spot is the best pet insurance we’ve had. 2 years ago, I had switched from Spot to another company offered by my employer’s insurance and it was a nightmare of an experience. After such a terrible ordeal, I switched back to Spot and have been pleased ever since. I especially love the speed at which the process claims. I purchased accident and illness insurance for my dog in 2024. I didn't have any claims that year. However, this year I have already filed 2 substantial claims. The first was for a cardiologist evaluation and EKG, totally over $1,000. Spot allow all of that claim and reimbursed me about $360 ($500 satisfied my deductible and I received 80% of the remainder, as set forth in my insurance terms). The next claim was for a tooth extraction and dental cleaning for a total of over $1,600. Except for about $5 for "pet waste/taxes," Spot again allowed all the charges. I just got a check for about $1,330! (Numbers aren't precise but the refund is 80% of the allowable costs.) Filing claims is easy as is providing the additional information they may request. Both claims were paid within a couple of weeks. On 1 occasion, I had to reach out to their customer service and this too was a very favorable experience. While the premiums are high, the cost is offset if your pet has an accident or illness. I very much recommend Spot for your piece of mind!

I've had great results obtaining reimbursement when I am sure to submit the past 6 months of vet records along with invoices and claim information. It didn't go as well with the approach of "Don't have it? No worries, we will reach out to your vet." Those claims got denied most of the time. So, when you submit everything up front, and each item as its own claim, they do deliver and I'm happy to say that I've renewed the annual plan for both of my dogs.
