One of our cats had a mysterious illness. Tests were inconclusive and she slowly got better. We submitted 4 claims that were paid promptly. Prior to submitting the claims, I had questions and called customer service. This was the first time I filed a claim with Pumpkin. The process is a bit cumbersome as each receipt must be filed on a separate form. However, credit of expenses to my deductible and a check submitted for the excess balance of eligible claims was quick and accurate.

Pumpkin is the BEST for your pet
We have used Pumpkin for our dog for a few years now, and every year I am so thankful to have them. This year we had an expensive emergency vet visit and the cost was 90% reimbursed. Fantastic provider of pet insurance - both of my rescues are on Pumpkin insurance and we wouldn't have it any other way! Pumpkin is super easy to login, quick to look up, easy to file claims, and most most most importantly, the reimbursement experience is so humane and painless. My dog with acute kidney failure is alive and thriving now thanks to the fact that my husband and I feel like we have Pumpkin as our financial support to give her the best care she deserves.

I’ve been using Pumpkin since 2021. It’s not often you can say this but every customer service experience has been superb. Everyone is consistently knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Some pet insurance has small print that’s difficult to understand and you’re not sure what you’re getting but Pumpkin is clear and the coverage is excellent. Anyone looking to insure their babies should protect them with Pumpkin!

Pumpkin makes the submission of claims transparent. They notify you immediately that your submission has been received. They review the submissions quickly, usually within a couple of weeks and send you notification of the decision, which is well documented and very fair. They then electronically deposit your reimbursement into your bank account within a couple of days.

I have had pumpkin insurance since my pup was a little one :) I was skeptical if needing it until an emergency came up… Twice ! Both happening in a month span. I used their website to upload my vet invoices and within a short timeframe, I was met with an email in regards to my claim and the reimbursement made it clear that insurance for my dog had made it worth having. It’s easier than you would think! Choose Pumpkin for your pets!! You won’t regret it.

Pet Insurance - Wellness plan not as advertised! .
All my questions were answered and the online purchase was smooth. Update 10/4/24: I filed my 1st Wellness claim and many of the services covered under the Preventive Esstentials Plan were denied because my vet bundled Fecal, bloodwork, and urinalysis. Therefore they denied the annual vet exam that is advertised to be reimbursed at 100%, they denied the rabies and Lyme disease vaccines, also to be covered at 100%! Because the vet bundled tests, Pumpkin refunded my Preventitive Essentials premium and essentially covered nothing, as if I never had the Preventitive Esstentials plan at all. WARNING: discuss with your vet on how they bill before submitting a claim!

Did well contrasting competitors. It is complicated and amazing how each insurance product includes or excludes items. As terrible as accidents are, the failure of all the insurance products to me is coverage for wellness. Most do have a wellness policy, but if you do the math then it is really just prepaying to loose money, break even, or maybe save $50 a year.
