When I called to get, I don’t know if it’s called preapproval but the equivalent of preapproval for my dog surgery I was told yes absolutely it would be covered submitting the claim was so easy and I received reimbursement of 90% within 3 to 7 business days no questions asked no delays.

Emergency vet visit
We had to take our dog to the vet for a copperhead bite after hours at an emergency vet. Costs was around 1600 total for emergency vet and follow-up vet and we got about 1200 back. That reimbursement just proved yet again why pet insurance is so important to us. Gladly would suggest Pumpkin to any pet owner.

Prompt response & efficient handling of claims
I have a $1000 deductible, but send in claims for covered services & the turn around of the claims are rapid & fair. My dog is 7 years old & he has recently suffered some problems with leg joints. I carry the insurance in case of further issues as he ages. Seven isn't old but he is 74lbs, a bit overweight, something we are working to resolve. I would recommend Pumpkin to my friends.

I have been living in the USA for 1 year. A couple of months ago I got a York puppy. Having learned the prices for veterinary services, I knew for sure that I needed insurance. After all, a puppy, and such a tiny one at that, is always an adventure. I am looking for different plans and I liked Pumpkin. I was calm about the insurance. And then 2 weeks ago, my puppy broke his finger on a walk. One appointment with an x-ray cost me $1,300. 90% was covered by the insurance. Thank you for providing a service that allowed me to financially care for my cat's health. When he got sick, my pet insurance gave me the confidence I needed to seek out veterinary care. I enrolled with Pumpkin Pet Insurance when I got my puppy (Clark), and a year later discovered he has a chronic condition that has required two pet hospital stays and many vet appointments. Pumpkin's website is extremely easy to navigate, so I can file a claim and send them my invoice in less than five minutes. And after initial approval for his condition, reimbursements show up in my bank account the same day! It’s probably too soon for me to make a fair assessment. The staff are wonderful people to communicate with, but so far I have been very frustrated with the reimbursement process. Also, as helpful as the staff might be, there doesn’t seem to be much communication between departments, which causes me to have to resubmit information. I know that it is necessary that they receive details on the doctor visit to process claims, but I am still waiting to receive any reimbursement for care. I will look further into what I may be doing wrong, and give it some more time
