Pumpkin makes the submission of claims transparent. They notify you immediately that your submission has been received. They review the submissions quickly, usually within a couple of weeks and send you notification of the decision, which is well documented and very fair. They then electronically deposit your reimbursement into your bank account within a couple of days.

I have had pumpkin insurance since my pup was a little one :) I was skeptical if needing it until an emergency came up… Twice ! Both happening in a month span. I used their website to upload my vet invoices and within a short timeframe, I was met with an email in regards to my claim and the reimbursement made it clear that insurance for my dog had made it worth having. It’s easier than you would think! Choose Pumpkin for your pets!! You won’t regret it.

Did well contrasting competitors. It is complicated and amazing how each insurance product includes or excludes items. As terrible as accidents are, the failure of all the insurance products to me is coverage for wellness. Most do have a wellness policy, but if you do the math then it is really just prepaying to loose money, break even, or maybe save $50 a year.

If there was 10 stars to hand out, I would give 10. Recently my Bassett Hound (Oliver) had tumor surgery, which went great. I filed my claim & necessary backup paperwork & within days Pumpkin approved it. And within days after the approval, I received my check. Thanks for the great service. Sudden spleen removal
My dog suddenly had to have her spleen removed! She's never had any medical concerns, and has aways been a vigorous, active, healthy dog. So, I was devastated to get this news, and worried about the 15k surgery cost! I was a brand new customer to Pumpkin, and they were exceptional to deal with! The surgery was a success, and Pumpkin was extremely easy to deal with. I just uploaded her medical records to their website, and my claim was approved within 14 days, with a 90% payment wired to my bank account! Pumpkin is a great, hassle free insurance. They don’t make any fuss over cases. They don’t increase fees or drop you if you used them like the case may be for different insurances for people. We are glad for the quick response of the claim dept and the summary so we knew when the deductible was applied versus accepted claim reimbursement amounts. As we unfortunately had 2 major events- a coyote attack- thankfully superficial and Pancreatitis a few weeks afterwards- 2appointments for the bite- one emergency & other was scheduled.

I was undecided about which pet insurance to get for my new puppy. The veterinary clinic I went to had pamphlets about Pumpkin Pet Insurance so I took one and read it. I signed up for the insurance after reading it covered so many things for new puppies. My puppy got an exam and one vaccination. I paid for it and sent a copy of the bill to Pumpkin. They deposited the full amount into my bank account within a few days. I’m very happy with the turnaround time and ease of turning in the claim.

Great experience! The service worked exactly as described. My cat became ill and I took him to his vet. I submitted my receipt via the pumpkin website, which was a very easy process. When I didn't hear back in a week I contacted Pumpkin via phone and talked with a very helpful person! She let me know that they were still waiting for a reply from the vet and that she would follow up with them immediately,which she apparently did because I received my re-imbursement shortly after that. I'm very happy that I signed up up for Pumpkin Pet Insurance.
