To be honest I was skeptical regarding pet insurance because I’ve heard some horror stories about pet insurance. However, embrace pet insurance has eliminated all skepticism that I once had. My little boy had a terrible eye corneal ulcer that lingered through multiple treatment with our vet. After months of different treatment that didn’t seem to heal the problem we were referred to an animal eye specialist and will undergo surgery very soon. embrace made timely reimbursements and extremely quick pre-authorization for surgery. I have recommended family and friends to use embrace pet insurance. And to anyone reading this review, I highly recommend embrace pet insurance! Embrace is the real deal, no gimmicks, tricks, or smoke and mirrors, just good honest pet insurance with great customer service and very quick reimbursements!

My experience with embrace was very good after we had to confront an issue between them and the vet center I am with! They were receptive to my issue and fortunately they sided with me after the vet told them a Lie about a Pre existing diagnosis? Claims are processed and paid pretty quick. Customer service is good. Three stars is because they raise the premiums greatly annually at policy renewal. Like 100% increase. The only way to lower it is to reduce benefits. Eventually, it just won't be worth having.

When I go to submit a claim the options given for the issues are seemingly fixed. I had to call to find out that I needed key words to then locate an acceptable diagnosis. Seems like that is confusing and not well thought out by whoever did the website.

Confusing
While I appreciate the idea of insurance...I have struggled to understand what is and is NOT covered. I thought that an injury/illness would be covered up to the % we selected - not subject to the deductible - which seems to be applied to our wellness plan. It is somewhat confusing.

Absolutely Awesome. I was so tickled when I go onto the system and it was so user friendly. I have two pups and they usually go to the vet together. It is refreshing to be able to submit claims for both of them at the same time rather than doing a separate one for each pup (and submitting the same invoices on top of that). This was user friendly and very easy to follow.

I had my first experience with Embrace and it was very comforting to know that when my fur baby was vomiting uncontrollably that I could get her all the care she needed and I didn’t have to worry about the expense. I had a terrible time with the online system today. I had three claims to submit and had to do each one smore than one time as something always popped up and caused a restart. Also, the menu for the hospital names jumped a few times causing me to select the wrong provider and having to go back and try again. Not a very good experience today.

Smooth claims process and reasonable rates - a true lifesaver
Our cat has cancer and embrace has covered literally everything from procedures and meds - with no questions asked for a year and a half. Our little one’s issues started coming up just a year into our policy and they renewed us a year later with only a tiny bump in premium after reimbursing in the 10s of thousands of dollars. They’ve given us precious time with our too young little girl and made a very tough time a lot less stressful. I constantly recommend Embrace to every pet owner I know.

I usually have my Vet submit the claims but they really don't want to do that anymore. Then, I submitted the claim forms via snail mail. Now, I forced myself to learn how to do a PDf and submit online. Will be waiting to see if that is better in reimbursement time. However, I have very healthy AKC bred dogs that haven't had any pre-existing conditions or accidents yet the insurance rates keep rising to the point that retired folks can't maintain it. How about senior discounts?

Embrace makes keeping my dogs healthy very easy. Take them to the vet, submit your claim and get a refund on most of the cost within a few days. The customer support if efficient and friendly. You can call them with questions and they answer, unlike a lot of insurance places. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

I have been with Embrace for 9 years now. I have 2 dogs and my wife and I just got a new puppy. I signed her up with Embrace. Getting her signed up was quick and easy. Unsure why it took so long, but they were eventually taken care of. Filing this last claim was extremely easy! We'll see how long it takes for them to process. Also my premium suddenly and inexplicably increased by $14/month recently! Still trying to find an explanation on their website...

I have used this company for many years. I also used another company previously with other pets so am familiar with insurance companies. You need to understand how they work or you could be upset. And for any orthopedic issue they want an initial exam by the vet indicating no hip or shoulder displasyia, etc. or any pre-existing conditions. Also, no allergies or will be considered pre-existing. Not like human insurance. Seems unfair. This is why I don’t adopt senior pets, unfortunately. 30 day waiting period and no pre-existing conditions. My insurance on my 2 dogs is significantly higher this year and they are only 10. I say this because my large dogs usually live till 14 years. I’ve had this insurance since adopting them at 2 years. I feel they are fair and the process is simple.

Writing a claim to Embrace Pet Insurance is Easy
What I love about Embrace Pet Insurance while setting up a claim is they most of the time know the providers in your area. You just have to pick them out of the list. Then you just have to download your bills for that day, choose the pet it is for and you are finished. One date at a time, so there is no confusion. Then you wait till they evaluate the claim and tell you what is cover or excluded.
