I'm disappointed that my pet insurance keeps going up. I thought that once I had a policy, I was locked in. Because we've had some claims, my insurance has increased to the point where it's not worth it. I'm disappointed I wasted the last 4 years paying for it. I feel it's a scam.
Overall, I believe Embrace Pet Insurance is wonderful. There does seem to be some inconsistencies: the first time I submitted for grooming where my service dog needed to be anesthetized for anxiety, by claim was covered completely. The second time I submitted for grooming with anesthesia for anxiety, only a portion of the bill was covered with an explanation that the anxiety was not covered. This is the third claim for grooming with anesthesia so we will hope for the best.

I love the way Embrace Pet Insurance is so responsive. I never have trouble getting an answer to any of my questions. I have been very happy with this company.

Embrace has come through once again. We've been with them for close to a decade, and have had 4 pets covered by them. It's such an easy process, clear and quick feedback, and timely claim payments. We've had two pets covered through embrace for over a decade all the way through their passing. We have never had an issue making claims or getting reimbursements. I have also seen the app and website evolve over time to make it super easy to upload claim information. They are a compassionate and caring company, and I could not imagine dealing with our pets medical issues without their help.

I've had my Shih Tzu covered for about 4 years now. She's needed emergency life saving surgery and has a disease that requires medication. Embrace has been there for me through it all. The claims are paid quickly and according to my policy. I have peace of mind with Embrace.
I am giving them 4 stars because of the positive interactions I’ve had. However, like all insurance, they will determine what they feel is a reimbursable claim and you need to know your policy well. The policies vary in what is and isn’t covered.
In the very beginning I had issues getting reimbursed but that was years ago, since they revamped their submission experience, it's very easy and quick to get reimbursed. I have yet to have a problem. I'm very thankful for this insurance.

I like the fact that claims are easy to submit. Unlike logging into my bank, the Embrace IT system works well. That’s something I appreciate.
Easy to submit claims.
I signed up a week ago, had my two cats examined the next day, and I’ve already been reimbursed in full for their exam cost. Phenomenal. I am paying for the most expensive plan with the reimbursable allowances so keep that in mind. But I was really pleasantly surprised that I was reimbursed and that it came so fast.
Embrace is an excellent service to have. My cat Duke was an outdoor cat and loved to roam around. He got into a few scuffles and I had to take him to the Vet. Embrace made it easy and quick to get reimbursed for Dukes vet bills. I just recently had to put Duke down, Embrace processed my claim quickly and seamlessly. They even sent emails and messages to my Account Center with words of condolences. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for peace of mind for their fur babies. Their plans are very affordable and well worth it.

I have had Embrace for four dogs, spanning 10 years, and it has unfailingly been a great experience. I have had friends with other pet insurance who often lament the difficulties in getting claims covered and/or the reimbursement process. I encourage them to switch to Embrace, or to sign new puppies up for it, because I believe so strongly in this company. My pets will always be covered with an Embrace policy!
The is my first experience with pet insurance, and it’s saved me a fortune!! I have two Shelties, and sometimes I swear they’re striving for death by chocolate. Twice Bonnie has been in the ICU, and Asher once. Add to that Bonnie developing epilepsy, and you can just imagine the difference Embrace has made. Filing claims is so easy, and the folks who answer the phone are so kind and helpful. I recommend Embrace to all my friends and acquaintances.

I just used Embrace for a month now but the experience is very pleasant. I bought wellness coverage for my cat and I recently had her neutered. The claim process is very easy. I put in a claim, I get paid. What a feeling. Insurance companies nowadays, they take your money but when it's time for a claim, they give you a hard time. Not so with Embrace.

I want to make clear that this is a review based solely on my first interaction with customer care. This is the first time we’ve purchased insurance for our pets. Having worked years in the veterinary field and also having animals of our own has made me realize just how important having our fur babies insured is. I had some questions that were a little confusing about the initial appointments that were needed to ensure their coverage wasn’t interrupted or questioned. I had gotten several emails regarding the initial visit for our three dogs. They all have been seen within the last 12 months and I wasn’t sure if the records from all of those visits were sufficient or if they needed new appointments specifically for insurance purposes. The lady I spoke to was so helpful and kind. She explained that the day before our waiting period is over they will contact my pups DVM and request the records for themselves. That they wouldn’t need new appointments unless they hadn’t been seen within the last 12 months or there was an issue in which case they’d reach out to me and try to clarify before having them seen. She was incredibly sweet and answered all my questions in a way that was easy to comprehend and didn’t leave me with more questions. We’ll see how everything works out when I may need to file a claim or have interactions aside from today. I appreciate reviews by others and love leaving them too. So there will be more in the future. Good or bad, I love that there’s a place to share with others about experiences so we can make sure we’re doing what’s best and giving what’s best to our furry family members. So far so good embrace!
Our Lucy is a big girl, a St. Bernard, at 160 pounds and when she is not keeping her food down for more than a day it's a big deal. We took her to the vet and learned she needed an X-ray of her belly. We were lucky, it wasn't a blockage but I felt very happy that we had pet insurance behind us if it had. Thank you Embrace!

I've been dealing with medical issues with both of my dogs lately and very unexpectedly. Both dogs have been covered with Embrace since I adopted them as puppies six and eight years ago. One recently had to have a double CCL surgery and the other is now going through a very unexpected cancer diagnosis and treatment plan. I had been frustrated with the recent monthly premium increase, but I'm so thankful I've stuck with this insurance company for my dogs. They've consistently covered these unexpected issues at the percentage agreed. I would not have been able to afford this on my own and would have had to make much more difficult choices for my beloved dogs.
I was sceptical I must admit, but once I submitted our first claim for our puppy’s illness I quickly changed my mind. Embrace reimbursed the cost within two days. Thankfully our puppy has recovered and is back to her normal spunky self.

I have to admit that I was skeptical about buying an insurance policy for my dog. That being said Embrace pet Insurance is true to their word. I ended up having an emergency with my dog. I submitted the paperwork to Embrace, they covered what my policy said they would. I would definitely recommend Embrace. Great company.

This is the first time I’ve purchased pet insurance and I am so thankful that I did! My 15 month old puppy became violently ill after a possible ingestion of a toxic algae. Long story short, the bill surpassed the deductible and having insurance took the guilt or worry about treatment decisions away. Embrace’s customer service was excellent, and I was reimbursed within 3 business days of submitting my claim. The submission process was also very easy. Pets are part of our family. Embrace now is as well.

We have been paying premiums for a few years now and have never submitted a claim until now: our dogs have always been in generally good health. Our small female terrier became ill and after a trip to her vet and then the veterinary emergency room, she was diagnosed with pancreatitis. After 2 days in the hospital, with treatment, she was released to go home: along with a $7k bill…. Embrace covered almost all of it. The process was simple and the response immediate, within 72 hrs. I just submitted a new claim on my 7 week old puppy. I hope there are no issues for her wellness exam. She did get a clean bill of health.. However there are more vaccinations needed. I chose this insurance over Trupanion because of the wellness coverage. We shall see.

They get better and better and easy to submit claims. Vet costs have skyrocketed in last 5 years and anyone is insane not to have pet insurance for a beloved animal. I have a new pup and I think you also get a multi pet discount. I just researched other companies and noone else has better rates, and Embrace covers cancer ( non pre existing ) which sadly comes up to often in pets which is why I have them on very healthy foods now. THey got me through 16 months of my old cat on chemo. OTherwise I would have had a terrible decision to make too early. And I think many dumped pets these days are sadly because one vet bill can overwhelm a family on a budget.

If a claim has no issues, everything is excellent. However, I once had to try to give back the money for an invoice my vet had submitted incorrectly. It took months, and it was chaotic. I really love the service, and speed I have with Embrace, but make sure you submit a claim correctly.
