Perfect except for 1 little glitch in uploading my initial information. I don’t know if it was our Internet server or something on your side. It was resolved the following day by the most patient, kind, knowledgeable, assistant, that I have had in decades. With my permission, he linked to my iPad and I was able to complete the task. The notary who arrived with the documents to be signed, was on time, extremely well organized, and professional. The waiting time for the funds to arrive was acceptable. The instructions regarding what to do with the bill pay-off checks was quite clear. However, you might add, “If a check recipient‘s address includes a post office box, remember that it cannot be sent by UPS.”

Matt always answered or returned calls with the information we needed and kept things moving along. He was kind, knowledgeable and professional. We were not pleased with the closing group for Rocket Mortgage . We Did not feel that the communication was what it should have been. We were willing and on top of getting all paperwork and info documented quickly to help get the closing confirmed on the date we all knew we needed from the very beginning. Someone Let the ball drop on items that delayed the much needed closing. The communication and information we did receive when We called, changed from what we had been told in earlier conversations. I feel the way the closing department communicated, actions and tone, caused stress to all parties; and up to that point, Matt had kept everything moving along; professional, straight forward and stress free for all involved. Rudeness, closing department, is Never okay.

Being honest
Being honest. I tried to do a loan around January, a home equity. I told the person multiple times what I wanted and they really didn’t listen to anything so eventually I just kind of gave up. I even got things sent to me like the paperwork to do the loan after I told the guy he just wasn’t listening to me and I wanted nothing to do with that loan. A few months later, I called back and I got a person who sounded like a used car salesman and I did tell him that and after he was a little bit nicer, but he again just really didn’t listen to me even though I did close the loan, I had to change the closing date after I had told the person maybe 25 times that I had to wait after a certain amount of time because I had a pre-payment penalty on a loan I was paying off when this loan was closed. He did not listen to that. I was not able to do the closing that they originally scheduled or wanted to schedule and we had to wait for that rate lock to expire before we could do another one only because I wasn’t listening to. During the loan process I found out that I had been through no fault of rocket mortgage paying property taxes even though I was a disabled veteran and I did not have to be paying them since 2020… I want down to my local tax collectors office, gave them the paperwork, and that was about six weeks ago. I contacted Rocket mortgage and they told me they had no information for me about my refunds for my overpayment of homeowners taxes to my county. I’ve went down to my local tax collectors office, and they showed me that they had sent the checks to my rocket mortgage who actually uses a third-party company to send out my taxes. That company has now had the checks for a little bit over a month and rocket mortgage. Still can’t get any information for me. I spoke to them a little over a week ago about it. I was told they had until today to let me know some information the information they gave me today. They still don’t have any information. I’m really unhappy with them… if somebody were to ask me where to get a mortgage from, I don’t think I would say rocket mortgage. I wouldn’t say quicker loans I would say do your due diligence and look into different companies that you think will help you. I honestly don’t want anybody else to go through the issues that I’ve been through. It became really stressful when I don’t think it needed to be and I didn’t think people were really listening to me. I got a call back today by a very good representative from rocket mortgage. I’m not gonna change this totally yet. I’m gonna wait for the outcome but the service I have gotten today was extremely helpful and the person was extremely nice.

Everything was great and went smoothly until closing. Closing was scheduled for 10:30AM but the closing agent was told 10:30PM. The closing agent reached out to me and I had to rearrange my schedule to do the closing at 8:30 AM instead. A minor inconvenience and it all worked out in the end

rocket did a great job when first got started but during the process they really fell off, meaning there were times when i could not reach the person i needed to talk to, they were slow to verified my employer, which held up the process, after that i could not even get a call back, documents that i submitted on time were never turned in which slowed down the process and in the beginning i was told that my interest rate could change but in the middle of the process i was told it could not so know im stuck with 12.125 interest rate
