Lack of communication during final stages prior to closing. Great initial process with the Loan Officer, but the Loan Department and Closing Department do not have visibility across platforms, which requires the customer to update the Loan Officer on status once the loan goes into underwriting. Closing date/time was not set until the day of closing. Rocket Mortgage service department was very helpful. This transaction was for an assumption.

The initial representative was very pushy. I asked him to transfer my loan to another person and he said he couldn't only to find out he was leaving rocket mortgage. The communication process is not seamless because too many people are involved. My loan stayed in one status until I called them to see how I could assist. The loan finally was completed however it was not a seamless process.

We made a change in account during the signing process and the notary called rocket mortgage on speaker phone and they told us that was acceptable and we just needed to put a line through the original account info and put the new account info in with our initials. That failed to work and they put it in the original account which cause other issue.

FOr the most part the Representatives where knowledgable and friendly. The process was quite easy. At one point I did get a some conflicting information from two reps but I worked it out. The only other issue was that thre was a time before closing that the task on your end was to verifiy my employment which remained as a task for a week until I messaged the representative and was told they need certain information that I could have gotten to them a week prior.

Communication was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, very clear. Financial overviews were easy to understand and no hidden fees or surprises. Feels like Rocket is really there to help you finance your house, not just earn some money off of you. The online environment/app that they use with is excellent as well, easy to upload documents, keep track of status and progress. Even though mortgages are not fun at all, would totally do it again with Rocket.

I am grateful for the opportunity to alleviate my credit card debt and Rocket made it easier than I thought it would be. They kept me informed of how the process was going and whatever tasks were required on my part, were sent to me in a to do list. I only wish that the estimated closing disclosure didn't keep changing over several days as fees were added. It was confusing when I was told by the representative I started the loan with that I would receive a certain amount and then another day I was paying a certain amount or receiving a different amount. When the final closing statement arrived, all that had changed. That would be my only complaint. Otherwise, I am so relieved to have some debt eliminated.

Disappointed with employment verification
Everything was great until it came time to verify my wife's employment. Rocket Mortgage claimed that they left a voicemail multiple times, but the funny thing is there's only 1 person that verifies employment at her employer and they didn't have any voicemails. My wife even reached out and gave them the person's personal mobile number to expedite verification. They still didn't reach out to her. Finally, it took the person who verifies employment at my wife's employer calling Rocket Mortgage to get it verified. Very disappointed in this. This delayed closing by over week

I was not thrilled with the way closing…
I was not thrilled with the way closing checks are allocated at the end. Many of those small bills had a zero balance , so it seemed to be an inconvenience to make copies of statements to mail the check to these lenders. All these small lenders was paid online never had statements from them. I do not believe I have mailed out a bill and three or four years.

The only problem I encountered is that there are too many people with their hands in the cookie jar. The information that was already given, was not updated for the next person. Also, whomever was in charge of ordering a dye test, which should have been known that we needed one, did not follow through. Other than that, every was kind and very cordial all the time.
