A stellar recommendation with one caveat
Mason Blankenship was a great rep of Rocket. He was knowledgeable and always responsive. My one and only complaint was that I was lead to believe my loan would close earlier than it did and I had perfect credit and no issues. It didn't close until a mth later, which caused some issues on my end bcz I kept thinking it was going to close momentarily; therefore I based my life around that. This caused anxiety too. It kept getting pushed back a week for no apparent reason. So be prepared to close later than you are told. Otherwise, everyone was pleasant and professional to work with. I'd do it again and recommend them.

It took so long (2 months) for the loan that the interest rate was raised AGAIN. Happened last April also. Not happy with Rocket. Also tried to request interest documents from last year and was told they don't want to mail them, download and print. What if you don't have one? Seriously disappointed!!!

Was easy to apply and get approved. Process went smoothly. Only thing I dislike and highly recommend changing is how you disburse funds. Took longer than stated to disburse funds into my account. I was told 3 days after closing. It took over 5 days. Not a big deal except I had to pay for items being paid off before I received funds throwing off payoff. That said also in today's age using a check for payoffs is unacceptable. It cost me almost $50 to mail checks out with tracking. All checks had to be mailed to company. This is unacceptable. Funds should have been disbursed directly to companies.

My husband and I tried to refinance through Newrez, with whom we originally obtained our mortgage. The person who was sent by the company for home evaluation and estimate did a terrible job. He didn't include that we had appliances or any improvements that have been made to the property. As such, the value was very low and we did not proceed. I contacted Brandon Courtney with Rocket Mortgage, and he connected us with Jeff Krinsky. Working with Rocket Mortgage was so easy and painless! The person they sent to evaluate our home and estimate genuinely enjoys his job and was very interested in every aspect of the home. He was thorough, respectful, and a very nice person. Rocket also provided tips to help get the best estimate. When it came to closing, again, the notary who came to our home was very pleasant, respectful, and easy to work with. Every part of the process went smoothly. We are very pleased!
