The overall closing process was smooth and well coordinated by NAF. Documents were not asked repeatedly, Loan officer and the loan processing officer were very knowledgeable and were able to clarify all our questions and they knew what they next step would be. One thing they could have organized is what activities can be done in parallel instead of sequencing it, so we too have sometime to get required information. For example - Letter from HR for remote work authorization. This was asked towards the end of closing and we had to chase our managers and HR to provider the same. Instead if this was asked a little earlier, we could have planned with our managers and HR.

Normally my experiences are good but after having an agent charge the wrong debit card and getting the run around to get them to charge the right card my opinion has changed. I simply want to pay my mortgage and it's been like pulling teeth. My debit is overdrawn dramatically n now their not wanting to fix it. Call ur bank ybey say...yet it was their error. I had 2 cards on file but only one was used over the past 3.5 years for auto pay. Y use a card from 4 years ago that I didn't give permission to b used.

From coordinating connecting with a skilled partner real estate agent, to helping understand what loan options were available to match my income, credit, and saved down payment, to guiding through the process, and sweetening the deal with perks like utility transfer concierge and a refinance offer in case rates go down, there were people and tools to help every step of the way. I had more than a little bit of anxiety about the home buying process as a first time buyer, but between the knowledgeable people and the available tools, NAF was a one stop shop and made things easier than anticipated.

Christopher Kim was my loan servicer, and I was impressed that he really wanted my business, even when I didn't have a house picked out yet. He called me every couple weeks to see how my hunt was coming along. And when I had questions, he answered them within a day. The other loan providers I shopped with didn't respond to my questions very quickly, and seemed to forget I existed if I hadn't talked to them within a week. I feel like I got a pretty good deal with New American Funding too. They have a pretty low loan origination price, compared with most other lenders, and were willing to meet or beat the cost of any other lenders.
