Had a fantastic experience. I decided to go with Better over another lender recommended by my realtor. I was skeptical at first because the rate was significantly lower than what my original lender could offer at same cost. Needless to say, I was being told that what Better was offering was a red flag. I was also told that because they are online to watch out.the two lenders were introducing FUD. And my realtor was also skeptical. But I decided to go with them as Chris was awesome to work with initially. He felt trustworthy. The process from start to finish was smooth. Sanam and Chris were awesome to work with and smart. They were attentive and responded very fast to any emails or phone calls. Most of the time, if not every time, if they didn’t answer on first call they called back within 15-30 minutes. Just great customer service. This was a great experience. I’m glad I went with my gut. I’d recommend them highly to anyone who’s getting a basic mortgage and have all their financial ducks in a row. It’ll be the smoothest process ever.

Best lender experience for those who are organized
Better was unbeatable in rates, transparency and speed to closing. Their system is so well-oiled that the ball was almost always in our court for next steps! - They helped us seal the deal by closing in 20 days! The big banks all asked for at least 30-40 days. - Only one 1 of the 5 other lenders we talked to was even able to match the rate we got from Better. - The rates were available in real-time on the portal for us to check/select. Every other lender required a phone call or email to check on the latest rates. If you have all the documents you need on hand, and have educated yourself about mortgages, there's no better option than Better (also lenders like Ally that uses their platform)! Amazing experience!

HELOC experience …
We did a HELOC to take care of some additions we wanted to make to our new house. The process was super efficient and they were transparent in their visibility into current status, next steps, and any additional info they needed. The entire thing took a couple of days to get approved (and I found them on a Friday), about a week to get the appraisal, and then we closed early the next week. The HELOC is a great product and gives us the flexibility to use only what we need and keep it open for future projects. You don’t run into lending products like theirs very often. Great company!

While initially there were a lot of phone calls from this company to secure our loan and get us as customers...once our rate locked no phone call, no call backs....the loan officer who called me 3 times a day is gone...she never answers the phone or calls back even after scheduling a call with her though their website. So only respite is to call their customer service directly everytime

Extraordinarily Positive Experience
We decided to give Better.com a chance after a brief web search as we needed to secure a lender (aggregator) that could work efficiently for us as our home buying plans would almost certainly be done while on a 5,000 mile journey. We began my placing a call and explaining our situation and needs. In less than 15 minutes, we had established an account and were able to generate the much needed “Loan Approval Letter” that would spearhead our efforts to secure and close on a home. That was mid May. After unsuccessfully bidding on one particular home, we found another better home on June 17. This was the day we reached back out to our loan manager to alert him that a contract may be imminent. Today is July 22 AND WE JUST CLOSED!!! To our delight, this entire process, including ordering and executing the appraisal and home inspection as well as processing all the paperwork required by underwriting, took basically ONE MONTH!!! This is unheard of speed and efficiency. We have nothing but the highest of praise for Justin No and Izaak Kasimov for their roles in making this happen. The entire experience exuded professionalism and military precision and efficiency. Fans for life!

Overall very pleased with my experience. Great communication, prompt responses to my questions, and a transparent list of tasks remaining to close the loan. Mortgage rate was excellent too. However, my only complaint was that I requested a float down well in advance because rates had dropped but was told suddenly that it was 'too late' in the application process to make any adjustments after they continued processing my loan anyway. But again the original rate was great. I would not hesitate to use Better again or recommend them to anyone.
