An interesting process
An interesting process. I ended up finding a loan for the duration and APR that fit my needs. Was not expecting to get the amount of phone calls and emails from different lenders. Kind of distracting, as the details of their offers were not what I was looking for based on the summary provided in the LendingTree web portal. But, i asked for it, i guess. The final lender was slow in processing the loan, but I was in no hurry, so that's fine. All in all, a good aggregator of information. But don't forget to check with your own bank or FCU as personal relationships count for something as well.

I'd never heard of Achieve before I was referred to them through LendingTree, so I was hesitant when the loan application process meant I'd have to talk to a representative. But I spoke to Maria Garcia, who was based out of Arizona, and she was an absolute delight to work with. She treated me like a human being and worked to understand where I was coming from with my debt and my goals with the consolidation loan. She walked me through every step of the process and worked hard to make sure my application was as strong as possible for underwriting. I did get the loan, and it was definitely due to her hard work. It was truly a pleasure to work with her.

First some guy supposedly named Eric…
First some guy supposedly named Eric Jones answers very heavy island accent. Says he’s from lending tree. Then I wait for his so-called loan officer, some woman from India, which I don’t give a damn about asked me to put money into my Cash app, then transfer it to my bank account and then send it back to her says this is the first step and then I get my loan for which I am approved of in 30 minutes sent to my bank account that was over six hours ago and I still do not have anything in my bank account. Now I know that Lenne tree is a scam. At least the people I dealt with.

I answered a incoming call from Rudy who quickly explained his reason for contacting me. We chatted for quite a while over my needs for a cash out refinance. He suggested some options for me to think about and call him with any questions. I did reach out to him in a few days, he promptly directed me to his associate, Patrick Lane who was able to finalize a couple of options best suited for my situation. The entire process was amazing and I always felt my best interest was their main concern. They clearly explained everything including sending me loan scenarios for my final review. I was aware of all closing costs and fees before the loan closed. The closing was prompt and unbelievably easy with no inconvenience to me. Would've been a 5 star rating but the lady at Onemain financial wouldn't take no for an answer on purchasing insurance. I ended up financing an extra $1200 in insurance i didn't want because she simply would not take no for an answer. It was late, i was tired, and i wanted to go home so i ended up clicking yes on something i didn't want out of frustration. I get they probably get commission or some kind of bonus for selling the insurance, but if a person doesn't want it, they don't want it. They shouldn't be held hostage and made to feel like they had to agree or never go home
