PNC Better Than Other Big Banks
I have been with PNC bank for 12 years and have never had any issues. The Virtual wallet account set-up is great for people who want to budget their money. I have recently had dealings with Chase and another bank. When the accounts were new, checks were placed on extended holds as they would be with any bank. Now that I am an established PNC customer, I can deposit a $20000 check today and it’s available the next morning. The low cash notification is great as well as it prevents me from having items returned for insufficient funds. Sometimes I play it very close to $0 and the low cash setting has saved my tail a few times. I have never had any customer service issues when calling in and have always gotten my questions answered. I have read a lot of the other negative reviews posted here and would expect that some people would have issues here just like anywhere else. People with bad experiences tend to post more than people with good experiences which is why I wanted to leave a 5 star review. All banks have one quirk or another and you just have to decide what is most important to you when choosing a bank.

Frustrating experiences…
Extremely frustrated at how long things are “pending” including transfers within my own account from savings to checking…as well as external ach and refunds take far too long. I understand a few days but a week seems crazy in today’s banking…whereas withdrawals or charges are instant within the hour. The online banking seems to be “unavailable” several days a week at night. It’s a challenge to speak to a live customer service agent…and online chat isn’t helpful…a lot of “sorry” but can’t help. People in the branch are nice…but can’t do much beyond standard transactions and refer back to “customer service” who just say “sorry” you’ll just need to watch the account for a few days and call again.

I recently opened up a checking account…
I recently opened up a checking account with PNC bank. After I got home I realized the PNC had a promotion if you were opening up a new account, you were eligible to PNC depositing $$ into your account. I reached out online and was informed that I had to contact the branch, which was the Michigan location on Northwestern and 12 mile road in Southfield, MI. I contacted the rep who waited on me. She informed me that she wasn't aware of this promotion. And that a promotion code should have been given. This is something that the bank should have mentioned. I was banking with Chase, and they provided $$ into my account ASAP as soon as I opened up a new account. I was very displeased about this.

Amazing bank and amazing employees. Only complaint is the non English speaking customer care for their credit cards.

Transaction dispute.
I reported a transaction dispute for approx. $2800 to an entity that I discovered through a Google search was in the UAE. The dispute was rejected with no other explanation other than "Customer verified transaction." I escalated to a customer rep who resubmitted on my behalf with the same result and same explanation. The dispute was resubmitted yet a third time with the same result and explanation. I was then told to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in order for it to be escalated once more. Needless to say I was utterly and completely flabbergasted as to the bank findings considering where it appears the entity was located, the fact that I have never made a purchase with the entity and the fact that I notified the bank even before the charge posted. Now a month later, fortunately the final escalation was successful. I'm disappointed it took as long as it did but I will say that both of the customer service personnel I actually spoke with were helpful and appreciated.

Sufficient banking…
I’ve been with them for donkey’s years, but never ventured far from the basics. Have never had any issues with them and their customer service is top notch. That, and overall good security. You really can’t ask for much more than that!

My Favorite Bank!
Great service at the Elkhart Indiana branch PNC bank on cr 6! I have been with PNC for many years and have had excellent service at all times! (No, they are not paying me to write this!) My recent months working with Allison and LaTrisha have been wonderful! Both ladies are professional, friendly, and informative! The atmosphere and cleanliness of this office is impeccable as well! Great job, all!

PNC Bank is a really awesome place.
I believe PNC Bank is doing an awesome job for me. I switched from First Citizens because of fraud and fees. All the teller's are very nice, and with online banking, i can just bank any place i need. PNC, my name is Leonard, and i appreciate all that you do, an for helping me.💯
