Lemonade helped me on one of the worst days of my life! My puppy dog accidentally ingested something she shouldnt have, and the vet billed me $600+. Im a broke college student so this really hit me hard, i was so upset. I made my first claim with lemonade the next day, and they approved me within minutes! When I took my doggie to the vet, she had some issues that needed treatment, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Lemonade covered a portion of the treatment. Not impressed - top coverage leaves a lot to be desired.
I was pleased with the quickness of claim payment however, extremely disappointed with how little I was reimbursed. My dog’s yearly exam, shots, fecal test, blood tests and year supply of NEEDED heartworm pills and BRAVECTO (tick/flea protection), was barely covered. I understand I had a $100 deductible and 90% coverage but receiving $339 back ($585 not paid) from an $884 vet bill left much to be desired. I pay $120/mo for top of the line health insurance for my pup and the total of reimbursement was laughable. Her needed preventative meds alone were $420!!! I give 3 ⭐️’s for the ease of submitting claim, website and processing. I’d give less for what is actually covered and reimbursed. Disappointed at best.

I’ve had their pet insurance for over 4 years and each time I’ve ever had to submit a claim it’s been quick and easy. Just once did it take over a month but this was during prime COVID time and the claim was for over $1,000. But even then during this time they were reaching out to see how my cat was doing.
