Top-Notch Customer Service

I highly recommend Embrace Pet Insurance for all those seeking quality care for members of our pet family. My dog had to have emergency life-saving surgery a few weeks ago. Not only did members of the Embrace team make sure his medical history was up to date, but they processed the claim in a very timely fashion. No one wants to have to use pet insurance in this way, but I was so grateful I had made the investment--not only in purchasing pet insurance, but in holding my pet insurance with Embrace. I hope anyone reading this review has the same level of excellent customer care when engaging with the team from Embrace as I did.

i decided to purchase...

i decided to purchase a (wellness/illness-accident) plan for my (Bengal) cat who (is an only pet-due to limited finances) That started sometime approx 1/23..then i (only) used the wellness portion around 4/23 and this year. Bc i stated (limited finances) reimbursement time-frame is important to me. Last year the (entire visit w/labs, exam & vaccine was 100% reimbursed) And that occured in about three days. i was anticipating the same reimbursement time-frame this year but (when it wasn't) there on day five i called, which was about the third time i spoke to a Representative. i have to say (besides speaking to a Representative when i got the plan) i liked the straightforward answers i received then and this time. i think Embrace's rates are competitive but i think their Representative's Service e.g (attention to my coverage concerns and reimbursement times) are exceptional. When i called this time (bc it wasn't reimbursed on day five) the Representative stated (the 10 -15 day policy-which really had escaped my notice) But the Representative also stated, 'sometimes it's quicker' (bc i reminded them about three days-last year) So that was reassuring and the next day i received a notice (online) that payment would be forth right. And the very next day it was there on day seven. So that was good and i am happy with the rates (only bc they are competitive) But especially happy with their attention to service!

Seems like you found any reason to make all my cats history a pre existing condition just so you wouldn’t have to cover anything without asking ME questions or actually calling the vet. Seriously considering canceling. What’s the point? Per your response here’s what I have to say. My cat ate a string and got diarrhea. Took her to the vet. That’s not a pre existing condition. Eat infection. That’s fine I get it. Dental. One vet said she needed a cleaning. Other vet that says she doesn’t need it and gave me prescription for special food. So yea you’re still full of it. Definitely canceling this week.

A life saver for emergencies

I have loved my experience with Embrace. I believe I’ve been with them for about 5 years now. They get the claims processed extremely fast after your first initial claim where they have to gather all of your vet records. I’ve heard a lot of complaints from a lot of people about other pet insurance companies and have had nothing but good experiences with Embrace. I’m a dog trainer so I’m around a lot of people that utilize these services and my experience has been one of the most positive and consistent experiences within the industry.

My pet went to the emergency vet with pneumonia and a stay overnight. Bill was several pages with diagnosis, etc and within two days of submitting, I received 80% of my bill back. Any future vet visits for his pneumonia are covered, too.

I purchased Embrace Pet Insurance for my Doberman Pinscher, Raven.

I purchased Embrace Pet Insurance for my Doberman Pinscher in July 2023. Raven turned one year old in April 2024 and we have used our Embrace policy on several occasions. For those of us who know puppies, no matter how good we are at pet parenting, there may still be some gastric issues, bumps and bruises, or other medical need that require a trip to the Vet. Embrace has done a fantastic job for me. They have made filing a claim very easy and they have agreed with every claim I placed. My experience with Embrace Pet Insurance thus far has exceeded my expectations, and Raven likes it too!!!

We’ve been with Embrace Pet Insurance since 2014. Anytime I had a question i got an answer within one day. I can’t even get that quick of turn around with my doctor! I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a good quality insurance for your pet.

Cost should be around $55 at most but it’s $82

What I have come to realize is really not much is covered with Embrace unless you add wellness rewards or your dog gets spontaneously hurt or sick. This is their coverage in a nutshell, so be prepared. Then there is the annual deductible that has to be met so you put in a claim find most of claim they agreed to pay goes towards your annual deductible. I essentially paid for the insurance for 3 years and received little to no benefit. Had I understood the how this insurance works I would have chosen a different company that offers the same insurance but offers wellness rewards at the same total price as Embrace and Fetch insurance does just that. So I canceled Embrace because they also recently hiked my rate to $82 a month. I called Fetch and the same coverage with wellness rewards is $15 dollars less than what I was going to pay with Embrace. Anyway nothing bad to say just overpriced insurance based on my research with other pet insurance companies.

A much slower resolution

This experience with another of my furbabies, Lilly Rose, took a lot more time than my first, with my Vinnie and it was a small fraction of Vinnies claim. I'm not sure where the problem was (whether the vets office, Embrace Insurance, or a combination of both). But I'm glad it's finally resolved. Thank you so much.

Lymphoma Coverage

One of our girls has lymphoma, and Embrace has covered her first year of treatment. The staff and claims folks are responsive and answered questions each time we emailed. The first claim took a few weeks to process, but each one after happened very quickly. If you are on the fence about pet insurance I recommend you give Embrace a chance. We hoped to never needed it for cancer, but are thankful to have it.

Seamless first claim

I just recently had my first claim for an ACL repair. As was already expected, it took a little longer than what they say the usual is for claim turn around due to needing full medical history. This was stated upfront so it was expected. Entering claim was super easy. They said to expect up to 30 days for an initial claim and it only it took just shy of 30 days to get reimbursed. I am very happy with the service and the full disclosure of what to expect. It took took little effort on my end and my baby was able to have surgery with piece of mind.

I got a puppy to train as my service dog. A few weeks after we brought her home she was very sick and it went on for months. Embrace was with me every step of the way. The EoB's are easy to understand. The people I've chatted with have been very kind and so far everything has been covered. Potential sago poisoning…

Recently I had a potential poisoning scare with my dog. On our walk it looked liked she had picked up a sago palm nut and ate it. I was unable to get it out of her mouth. I rushed her to a local emergency room where vomiting was induced. Because of the severe toxicity of sago plants she had to be transferred to a veterinary hospital that had critical care vets for further treatment and observation. She remained hospitalized for 2 days. She is fine now thankfully. I sent all invoices to Embrace who quickly reimbursed me for 90% (per my policy) of my expenses. When I had some questions about the process they were very helpful explaining things to me. I am so grateful that Embrace made the frightening experience easier to navigate without the fear that I would not be able to afford critical emergent care for my sweet Pippa. Thank you, Embrace!

This is a hard one for me

This is a hard one for me. They eventually paid the claim, but getting there was very difficult. It was extremely frustrating just trying to get a representative on the phone. When I did, I was transferred multiple times and then the person I spoke with didn't even have ALL the records that I had provided in front of them. I appreciate them paying the claim. I do not appreciate what I had to go through to get there.

Skeptical about pet insurance

I was very uncertain about buying pet insurance for my 2 baby Toy Poodles. I researched very carefully, talked to my vet, read many reviews and decided on Embrace. All companies promised a lot but it seems Embrace delivered. Also, they were on my vets list of recommended companies and also USAA was recommending them. SO, I signed up. I am glad I did as I had some issues with about 5 months and my claim was handled promptly. Every communication I have had with them via phone, email on on their web site have been pleasant.
