Working with the Risla team for college loan refinancing was a great experience. The online portal for uploading documents was easy to navigate with helpful email confirmations confirming documents.
It was good, but a little slow. I was ready to move on day one and would have appreciated a fast track option.

Best price for me to refinance my loans, the downsides were I was looking for a Variable Rate Loan and they only seem to offer Fixed which hurts me a little since interest rates were a little higher when I refinanced. Also, they need some weird documents which was difficult to get together.

You don’t need to stress regarding whether you’re filling out the application correctly and let’s face it as a parent of a college bound student, we have plenty of other things to worry about.

I tried several times to register to no avail. The instructions for non-custodial parent are not intuitive. I had to call the office for direction before I was able to submit the registration. A note indicating parent only needs to fill out the student section will be helpful
Our advisor helped us to get an appointment quickly. Her knowledge of both the computer system and the financial aid process made our application a speedy process. She was extremely professional and kind and we LOVED working with her.

My son has been lazy about the college apps and is waiting for someone to do it for him or say "during school" here is your time to do the college apps...that's not gonna happen. Courtney re-iterated what I have been telling him "just do it" without talking down to him. She was awesome!!

Simple and quick process to get loan rates and estimated payment options which are better than anywhere else I looked. Loved the ability to select specific loans at existing lenders to payoff when applying for a refinance loan. Quick response from customer support when requesting help getting loan information from existing lenders.

A ton of documents are needed to refinance and consolidate my studen loans. However, they do their due diligence and are very helpful. Support helped me draft emails to ask my old student loan provider. They shaved half of my interest rate from my old provider as well so im happy with their service overall.
Very easy to work with and you get a response almost right away. Their rates are very fair.

The communication back to the customer is lacking. My recommendation would be to have an online login that tells the user the current loan status and estimate time till the next major milestones.

It was easy to do, it was quick, whenever we had a question customer service was right there with an answer. We're going to save thousands in interest over the 5 year term of our loan. We should've done this sooner.
Communication is very disjointed. It’s very confusing to get through this process. If I didn’t help my daughter navigate it would never have happened. On the positive side it is a nice program and does offer a lower interest rate when compared to to most competition.

I can appreciate the details that need to go into prequalifying and qualifying for a refinance. The good news is, you offered an option that was unique and that we were looking to refinance an existing student loan and have it be deferred with a student that did not have a degree. Those three requirements disqualified us from most options on the market. It appeared that I had to send and resend the same item multiple times. I understand most of that comes from federal requirements. It just seemed a little bulky. In the end we were approved and for that we are grateful.
I met with Erin who explained the entire process of how thing will go over the next few months. She answered all my questions and was very patient with me. Her knowledge and her personal experience made it much more valuable to me.
