Earnest Student Loans has a seamless eligibility assessment within a few minutes. Following confirmation of my eligibility, I had a few questions which were promptly responded to with unambiguous explanations, both through the FAQ and direct emails. The 9-month grace period is very attractive because it gives me significant time to prepare to commence repayment. Additionally, the conditional loan approval letter was strongly worded and so was acknowledged by the Office of International Services, which facilitated my visa application process.

The only concern I have is when going to refinance a current earnest loan, I would appreciate a little more clarification with the fact that my new loan goes straight to me current loan. Some of the instruction and description make it appear as I’m just refinancing for any kind of student debt.

Best Interest Rates!
Earnest was quick and easy to apply for AND they reduced my APR to less than half of what it was from my original lender. My student loans were expected to be paid off by 2050 if I stayed with Sallie Mae, but Earnest refinanced them so I pay less each month, lower APR, and they'll be paid off by 2030! 20 year difference, half the APR rate, and $200 lower on my monthly paymeny.

The basis of my student loans was always such a daunting experience. My old servicer had kind customer support staff, but the rules that the company had made it a terrible experience. Switching to earnest was easy, fast, and just made sense. I had zero questions throughout my application & approval process. Once my loans were transferred I was able to log into my dashboard and see how the website is set up, and for once, I am excited to have such an expensive loan. I can see that this is going to be a very easy transition and earnest makes everything crystal clear from the get go. I have not had to speak with a representative yet, but I feel that when I do, it will be a positive experience as well. I only wish I would have refinanced sooner.

Went through all the paperwork and hard credit check which I passed got a decent refinance rate after all that two weeks later received an text message stating unable to process because I was not the original borrower but a co signer. The verbiage did not say co-signer could not refinance a loan they were part of and had to do a hard check on my credit also

I've re-financed part my student loans with Earnest over two years ago and I can honestly say that they are the most straightforward and trustworthy loan lender that I have had the opportunity to work with. Their contracts are not lengthy, have too much jargon or small font sized words -- what you read is what you get. Their rates are competitive. And they are NOT predatory loan lenders. I definitely would recommend them to everyone for any type of loan.
