Getting loan was good, Paying it off, not so much
While the process of getting a loan was fast, easy and very well done, I used my vehicle to secure the loan. Over the weekend I traded in my vehicle for a newer model and the dealership called for a payoff quote. They were quite rude to the dealership and told them only I can get the payoff quote. The dealership called me and I called One Main to get the payoff quote. After navigating their phone tree hell, I finally reached a live person, first call I was directed to an answering machine. I explained what I needed and was given a verbal quote over the phone. I asked for a payoff letter for the dealership and was told they would submit a ticket and it would arrive in 24 to 48 hours. I am trying to pay off the loan and they are dragging their feet. Every other lender I have ever dealt with is able to provide a payoff letter, to the dealer or company calling right away. They don't force the customer to call and arrange all this. Poor service is all I can say. They are great when you need a loan, but if you try to pay it off, not so much.

With me I signed the papers, they got an ok within about an hour. My car loan wax paid and my 3 credit cards and I had money in my bank account. Now I'm paying half of the interest rate I was paying and will save about 4 to 5,000 dollars in interest fees over 3vyrs

We usually really like working with the team, but the person who handled things this time was a bit scattered and it caused a lot of stress. Your website log in to sign digitally kept freezing and locking up and it caused MAJOR issues for us. I think it would make more sense to streamline the process better. You knew we were coming have documents printed, have the person go straight to the room with the computer to sign. Don’t make us go back and forth and wait on things that already should be done.
