Trying to find a home equity line for self-employed is very difficult because they want to use your tax statements and a company generally wants to write off as much as they can per year so we would never qualify. Figure was willing to use bank deposits to source income. The appraisal was done online. They offered various rate,terms, closing costs. We make our payments online, and bonus the notary came to our home to finalize signatures.

Great experience. Just wish there was a countdown maybe of when it would be my turn. It said I was 19th in line and then about 10 seconds later it was my turn. I also didn’t know I would need my license and had to go track it down, but that’s probably just my own ignorance. It was pretty seamless and efficient, though. And way better than having to meet in person.

When I first joined the queue, I was 19th in line. I thought for sure I'd be there quite awhile. That definitely wasn't the case. I'm sure that the Notary was with me within 5 minutes. I appreciate the fact that Figure gave me access to the document I was signing ahead of time so that I could look it over. That made the process very quick.

Signing in was not friendly and we had to call several times delaying the process by about 3 days. Once we got to the notary we got rejected by some 2x they just hung up with no explanation. I think that way was rude and insulting.

After more was requested we went to Figure and the entire process from application to Notary was done within an hour.
