Quick, simple and effective transfer of funds
The process of transferring funds is very simple and extremely quick. I regularly send UK pounds to my Euro account. I generally receive the funds into my destination account within an hour of transferring the funds to XE. The only thing I dislike is the charge of £3.99 per transaction, which was introduced relatively recently.

I had always had very good experience with xe.com transfer, but this time it took 5 days between (1) the moment when the money was taken from my account, and (2) the moment when it arrived on the receiver's bank account. It used to be faster -- interestingly, I just read other reviews (from this month and last month) making the same comment....

I gave this four stars today because it seemed that on this occasion the rate was not quite as good. It seemed that Xe.com had made approximately 5 cents on the dollar when other institutions were charging 3 cents on the dollar. I only used Xe.com because I was already set up and needed to get the transaction done. On a transfer of over $3000 that is a lot of commission.

The process of sending money from New Zealand to Australia was really quick and has improved over the years - not that there was ever an issue in the past. It's fast, it's secure, the exchange rate is quite acceptable (could always be better for the customer, but it's better than many competitors). Always a good experience. I have never had any problems with XE when it comes to transferring money abroad. They do what they say they are going to do for the price you agreed to and in a time frame that they make clear up front. The rates are good too, better than what is on offer elsewhere. I wouldn't use anyone else.

I have been using XE for some years now and have always had good service with fair exchange rates. The one time the money was held up and took longer to reach its destination was sorted efficiently by contacting personnel who got things moving!
