Currencies Direct have been exceptional and extremely professional throughout. From registering with them when our property went onto the market to receiving the money into our account once the property was sold, I cannot fault them! The team is incredibly helpful – highly responsive and efficient. However, it would be beneficial if company names could be used for incoming payments instead of reference numbers. Many of our clients do not follow the provided payment instructions and often send funds to our company name rather than using the Currencies Direct reference number. As a result, payments are not immediately allocated to our account, requiring us to request assistance from Currencies Direct to trace and assign the funds. This process creates unnecessary stress for our clients.

As I am currently working in Saudi Arabia, I had a few issues trying to set up my account. Matthew Gaisford was most helpful overcoming these issues very quickly and efficiently. I then received a call from Megan Lee who patiently(!) and professionally walked and talked me through doing my first transfer. Needed to transfer a larger amount of money, Lena initially reached out and put us in touch with Grace, who was a great help throughout the process. I was disappointed with the exchange rate given
I appreciated having a dedicated account manager who talked me through the process and was on hand to help when transfers were made. For some reason the Account Manager was not able to contact me on my local number overseas even though I could contact her on the same number. I was initially informed that Currencies Direct would offer a better rate than the banks. The rate could not be determined until Currencies Direct received the money so I could not tell in advance what the exchange rate would be. However, when it came to the transfer Currencies Direct was not match or better my bank's exchange rate and the the difference was significant enough for me not to proceed and ask for a refund. I was happy that my account manager agreed to the refund without any fees which was dealt with fairly promptly.
